Dr. Christopher Palmi has been involved in the field of education for over twenty years. Native to the Chicagoland area, Chris earned his B.A., M.Ed., and Ed.D. from National-Louis University. He was a middle school language arts and social studies teacher in Northbrook for eight years. Following that experience, he taught high school English and public speaking In Glenview for an additional eight years.

Currently, Chris teaches undergraduate students at Lewis University in Romeoville. His courses include Communication for Teachers, History and Philosophy of Education, and Curriculum and Instruction in the Middle School. He also supervises student teachers in the local area.

Much of Chris’s professional work concerns social justice in education. He seeks ways in which undergraduate teacher candidates can more fully incorporate multiculturalism in their curricula and instruction. He has presented his research findings at both local and national educational conferences.

As B2SI’s Education Director, Chris looks forward to working with the Board of Directors, school communities, and various organizations to develop programs that assist students in becoming as successful in their educational endeavors as they can be. Although he has lessons to share from his own experiences, he eagerly welcomes the ideas of the individuals with whom he will interact.
