POWER UP! Boot Camp

In partnership with the Chicago Park District this 6-hour event will have 200 children rotating through a series of activities and classroom settings to get them active as well as learn about the importance of regular exercise and proper nutrition.

The Boot Camp is designed to emphasize how combining regular exercise with a good diet will help a children maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle. Participants in the Boot Camp are provided with lunch, a Boot Camp t-shirt and fitness/nutrition pack to take home. To gauge the success of the program, children are tested at the start of the camp, end of the camp and several months later to measure how much they’ve learned and retained. Parents are also invited to attend a 30-minute program to provide instruction on help ensure their child(ren) get the most out of the Boot Camp.

The 2017 application is accessible via our POWER UP! Boot Camp page.
