Fred Blumenfeld has a great deal of experience working with different types of financial service businesses. He has owned and operated currency exchanges and worked for the accounting firms of Joseph Borenstein & Co and Goldstein Poteshman & Assoc. Fred currently serves as President of his own firm, Pawlan, Blumenfeld, Miscinki & Assoc., Ltd., a public accounting firm located in Skokie, IL, which he and his partner, Steven Pawlan founded in 1980.

Over the years, Fred has held a variety of positions and worked for a myriad of charitable organizations. He was Treasurer of Skokie Youth Baseball Organization and provided accounting work for American Police Center & Museum, Better Boys Foundation, Chicago Communities in School, Fund For Peace Education and North Suburban Peace Initiative.

Fred is enjoying his role as Treasurer and founding board member of the ICECF. He is excited to bring his expertise to yet another nonprofit and is looking forward to helping build a strong and successful organization that is dedicated to helping provide educational assistance to those in need. While he sees launching a new nonprofit challenging during tough economic times, he is up for the challenge and promises to give it his all.
