Even though Paul Sullivan has been in advertising for over 20 years, he remains inspired by his 4th grade teacher to pursue his creative writing abilities. Written on a play-doh container he still has to this day, his teacher told him to never stop believing in his creative self.

Paul went on to live the dream and attended the University of New Hampshire where he earned an Integrated Marketing Communications degree. He landed his first job as a copywriter within a corporate agency, but quickly learned how talented he is at advocating for great ideas. He went on to work in Account Management at several large agencies in Chicago including Ogilvy, DDB, BBDO and Digitas. He’s launched national, fully-integrated campaigns for brands such as Ameritrade, Dove, Pepsi, Dial for Men, State Farm and KitchenAid. He’s honored to have been part of the team that was recently awarded “Best campaign of the past 20 years” by Advertising Age for Dove’s Real Beauty campaign.

Paul’s passion for advertising heightened when he switched gears to work in the healthcare industry. Currently, he’s working with an agency focused on using technology to create innovative ways to help people find the right treatment for their diseases. As the lead for one of the largest and most successful medications in the world, Paul is developing digital communications that advocate for patients suffering from debilitating diseases—helping them find the answers they need. Although a small part of their experience, Paul’s work is changing the lives of patients.

As a board member for B2Si, Paul hopes he can be an inspiration much like his 4th grade teacher was to him. Paul believes that providing children with the tools they need to be successful can shape their lives—and even help them shape the lives of others. He looks forward to working with the B2Si team to fulfill the mission of the organization and inspire the communities it reaches.
