Ryan Allen hails from Rock Island, Illinois but has been a proud Chicago resident for the past 15 years. After graduating from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Political Science, he attended The John Marshall Law School where he received his J.D. in 2007. During the next 11 years, Ryan had the opportunity to work for amazing companies such as the Chicago Tribune, Practical Law Company and Toppan Merrill. In May 2018, he accepted his current position as Director of Business Development at Much Shelist, P.C.
During his educational and professional careers, Ryan has been involved in many incredible civic and charitable organizations including Folds of Honor, Habitat for Humanity, Prairie State Legal Services, Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, Cabrini Green Legal Aid Clinic, Illinois State University Speaker of Assembly, Life After Hate and Sear Outfitters.
Giving back to the community is an important part of the culture at Much, as evidenced by the firm’s ongoing relationship with Back 2 School Illinois. In September 2018, Much hosted its second annual Build-A-Kit event, which hit close to home as Ryan’s oldest son is a student in the CPS system. While few of his son’s schoolmates are in need of assistance, the experience of volunteering for Back 2 School shined a bright light on children who are not as lucky. This was Ryan’s call to action!
In his off time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Ashley, their son Jaxton and the newest additions to the family, twins Penelope and Asher. Even though they live in Chicago, the Allens are avid St. Louis Cardinal fans. Ryan also enjoys golfing, running and getting to the closest beach with his family whenever possible.
