Spencer was taught at a very young age that you should always help those in need. Now at 25, he’s never been more eager to do just that! Volunteering for a few nonprofits in the past, he’s always been generous to lend a hand to make an
impactful change in various communities. Spencer was an Event Assistant for the
nonprofit, Simply From the Heart that enriches the lives of hospital bound patients by providing beauty, self-esteem and well being, which is done by pampering patients to lift their spirits. He also lent a hand with the role of donations and silent auction for, Equitas health, which promotes good health and HIV prevention.
Spencer is also a lover of animals, and growing up you would find him in the
wilderness catching snakes, frogs and turtles, which led to a small zoo of aquariums in his bedroom. He volunteered at various local animal shelters and you could always find him at Brukner Nature Center, a nonprofit that promotes the appreciation and understanding of wildlife conservation through preservation, education and rehabilitation.
Moving from Dayton, OH to Chicago, where he attended, Columbia College Chicago, Spencer received his bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Public Relations. He’s excited to put his education to good use as Back 2 School Illinois’s new, Events Coordinator. He understands what a unique and rewarding experience he’s about to embark on.
Spencer understands to upmost importance of how education can set the tone for a child’s future. He believes everyone should be given access to valuable education, no matter where you come from in life.
